IT IS MUTUALLY AGREED AND UNDERSTOOD:
This agreement shall become effective upon acceptance and shall continue in effect for one (1)
year.
Rick D'Hooge agrees to provide the following services and consultation to the City of Kalispell:
l . Recommend changes to the current Police and Firefighter Contracts.
2. Negotiate agreements for the Police and Firefighters within the
guidelines and directions set by the City of Kalispell.
3. For one (1) year from the date this agreement is signed, shall
represent the City of Kalispell in the following areas:
a. Unfair Labor Practice charges filed with the Board of Personnel Appeals;
b. Any Police/Firefighter labor mediations;
e. Any Police/Firefighter fact-finding;
d. Any Police/Firefighter arbitration or interest arbitration; and
e. Any Police/Firefighter slowdowns, blue -flu, work stoppage and/or strikes,
4. Once a collective bargaining agreement has been reached between the
parties, shall provide one (1) clean copy of the agreement for signatures.
S. Shall provide out (1) training session for city management on the
administration of new agreements.
In consideration of the aforementioned consultation and services, the City of Kalispell agrees to
the following:
I. To compensate Rick D'Hooge in the amount of eight thousand dollars
($8,000) in the following manner.
$4,000 upon execution of this agreement; and
$4,000 on or near December 15, 1998,
Z. To reimburse Rick D'Hooge for travel expenses related to tie performance
of these services at the State of Montana's accepted mileage and perdlem
rates.
