At the regular meeting of the Kalispell City -County Planning. Board held on February
14,1998, Donald Hines was selected by the Planning Board members to fill the
member=at large position on the Board.
Please put -this matter on the -City -Council agenda for the February 17,1998 regular
meeting, for confirmation of the appointment -of Donald Hines to serve the one year
term as member -at -large for the Kalispell City -County- Planning Board.

Re: Consideration for the Planning & Zoning Commission Board
Dear County Commissioners:
It has been brought to my attention that there is a position available on the Flathead
Regional Development Planning and Zoning Board, and I hope to be considered as a possible
candidate.
Having been before the board, I am interested in its procedures and impressed with its
objectives. I understand the importance of the Planning and Zoning Board and have a sincere
interest in the development and growth of our community. Given my background, interests, and
education, I feel I would be a beneficial member of the Planning and Zoning Board, and an
excellent representative for our community.
Being a lifetime resident of the Flathead Valley, I have witnessed tremendous changes in
our community. I am a local homeowner, business owner of Hines Automotive Centre and
Practical Rental Car, and am employed by Winter Sports, Inc. as a member of the Big Mountain
Ski Patrol. I have taken many real estate and business classes, and am a responsible, hard
working, family oriented man who is concerned with the growth and development of our
community.
I ask that you please consider me as a candidate for the Planning and Zoning Board. I am
an ambitious, interested, and educated candidate who would fulfill my duties as a board member
