First Time Home Buyer Bid Awards
June 21, 1999
BACKGROUND: A bid opening on three single family homes to be located in the Woodland Court
Subdivision and three townhouses in the Teton Terrace Subdivision took place on Friday,
June18, 1999. Because of the lateness in the day, it was necessary to hand deliver the bid
compilations to you that evening after your council packets were delivered. Had staff not
been able to obtain council approval on the bid awards on June 21, 1999, it would have
delayed construction start until July 7, 1999.
RECOMMENDATION: Council authorize the award of the construction bids to the lowest bidders who have a
letter of credit from a participating lender to cover the construction costs and the cash
purchases of the land.
FISCAL EFFECTS: The $42,000 land sale revenues will be utilized to cover the landscaping costs at both
sites.
