Bid Acceptance -Meridian Road Walkway
June 21, 1999
Bid proposals for the Meridian Road Walkway closed June 4, 1999. The proposed walkway is 0.8
mile in length located on the east side of Meridian Road from Highway 2 South to Seventh Street
West. A total of (4) four contractors submitted bid proposals, all being responsive. They are
identified in the attached bid tabulation form. The project was bid with four Schedules, distance
and cost determining extent of the project. Sandon Construction was low bidder on all Schedules.
It is the recommendation of the consultant and myself to except Sandon Constructions bid for
Schedule D. This will enable the project to be completed in it's entirety. Thank you for your
consideration on this project.
RECOMMENDATION:
I recommend that Sandon Construction be awarded the bid for Schedule D in the amount of
$91,794.00.
FISCAL EFFECTS:
Project is cost shared with federal C.E.T.P. funds at a ratio of 13.4% ($12,300.00) local share and
86.6% ($79,494.00) federal share. The local share funds are appropriated in this years budget.
