RE : Police Commission appointment
In May of 1999 the term of Police Commissioner Tim Vidal will expire. There are
currently three Police Commissioners and I have enclosed an attached list of their names,
duties and terms. If you concur, I will recommend to the Mayor that he reappoint Tim Vidal
for another three-year term on the Police Commission.
Jim Vidal is a long-term member of the Commission, he is a City resident, an
attorney with a local firm and he has expressed a desire to continue to serve on the
Commission. Tun is a well -respected member of the community and he has served the
community well during his tenure.
This appointment should be placed on the agenda for the second council meeting in
April and be made effective May 01, 1999.

Police Chief Frank Garner has informed me that my term on the Police Commission is
about to expire. I have been a member of the Commission for many years and have greatly
enjoyed working with the Police Department and the City of Kalispell. I am continually
impressed with the outstanding caliber of the candidates we interview for positions with our
Police Department.
Please consider this letter my request to be reappointed to the Police Commission for
