Subject: Follow -upon US 93 South action items
The October 26" progress meeting for this project identified a set of critical decisions,
actions and milestone dates that are essential to be met for the project to move ahead on
schedule. Attached is a copy of the last page of the hand-out that outlines the items and
implementation schedule agreed with by the Council.
To the best of my knowledge neither of the first two needed actions has been completed or
even further discussed by the Council. Staff are not able to make the critical decisions
T these actions entail, and as Dick Dyer and I outlined on the 26`h, we have given it our best
shot by detailing the menu of options presented during the briefing. There may be a new
-- approach, but we cannot see it at this time.
Without being a pest, I need to ask the Council's progress on these items. Have there been
any further discussions on these items? Are any planned that will allow for the needed
decisions in time to ensure schedules remain on -track?
Please raise these concerns to the Mayor and Council as soon as possible. The project clock
continues to tick, and MDT will, as we underscored on the 26`h, proceed without us if we
fail to get this work done.
