I am writing this letter to request 4 way stop signs at the corner of 1 st
Avenue East and 11 th Street. This is a very dangerous intersection. I just
missed broadsiding a vehicle when I was crossing 1 st Avenue East on 11 th
Street. I never saw the vehicle. My husband was almost broadsided by a
vehicle coming down 1 st Avenue East at the same intersection. The street is
very shaded and makes seeing oncoming vehicles very difficult.
A four way stop was put on 1 st Avenue West and 11 th Street. 1 st Avenue
East is an even busier street as it is a thru street to Highway 93 South.
I appreciate your consideration in this matter. I hope we don't have to wait
for a fatality at that intersection before this request is approved.
