SUBJECT: Citizenship Awards
MEETING DATE: December 4, 2000
BACK GROUND: On October 28 of this year, at Woodland Park, three alert
teenagers, ZAK HEILESON, CHELSIE JOLLEY and
ANDREA HARRIS, reacted to a potentially critical situation.
They were able to douse an arson fire at Woodland Park rest
rooms before it got out of hand, that could have resulted in
thousands of dollars in damages. For their heroic actions and
quick thinking, I propose a thank you and citizenship awards
be presented at the December 4 Council meeting by the
Mayor.
RECOMMENDATION: Recognize heroic actions and quick thinking, I propose a
thank you and citizenship awards be presented at the
December 4 Council meeting. Give each one of them a
$15.00 Gift Certificate from the Kalispell Center Mall.

We have Award Certificates and $15.00 Gift Certificates to the Center
Mail, for each of the three young teenagers, to be presented on December
4.
