SUBJECT: Bid Aerial Forestry Truck
MEETING DATE: December 4, 2000
BACK GROUND: Advertizement for a used aerial forestry truck was circulated.
We received one (1) responsive bid from Pacific Utility Equipment
Company. Because of the request for a used piece of equipment,
extensive comparisons of numerous units were evaluated. This gave
us a price range based on condition, year, options and accessories.
The unit Pacific Utility bid was viewed and test driven by the Park's
foremen. Subsequently, the condition report indicated the unit had
met or exceeded our specifications.
RECOMMENDATION: It is my recommendation to purchase the aerial lift truck from
Pacific Utility Company for the bid price of $32,250.00.
FISCAL EFFECTS: The budgeted amount for this unit was $34,500.00.
ALTERNATIVES: None at this time.
