Mr. Kukulski,
I respectfully request that Officer Michelle O'Neil be confirmed as a patrol officer
for the Kalispell Police Department. Officer O'Neil has successfully completed her one-
year probationary period as of October 22, 2000.
Officer O'Neil has established herself as a consummate and caring professional.
She is known as a team player and a productive officer and she has already proven her
mettle in the most trying of circumstance.
Michelle was dispatched along with other officers of this department to a request
for assistance from another department in the apprehension of an armed suspect who fled
the scene of a shooting with a hostage. Officer O'Neil responded to the area and helped
conduct a search for the armed suspect and his hostage. Officer O'Neil exposed herself
to great danger in this and other incidents in dedication to her department.
Officer O'Neil recognizes that the position of police officer is one of public trust,
granted by the community to those of us fortunate enough to be counted among this
fellowship. Michelle has demonstrated at every turn her willingness, dedication,
professionalism and compassion in the discharge of her duties. She has high moral
standards and she is recognized for commitment to improving herself and those around
her.
It is my privilege to present Officer Michelle O'Neil for confirmation as a patrol
officer for the Kalispell Police Department with my highest recommendation for that
honor.
Respe
