Mr. Kukulski,
I respectfully request that Officer Brett Corbett be confirmed as a patrol officer
for the Kalispell Police Department. Officer Corbett has successfully completed his one-
year probationary period as of October 15, 2000.
Officer Corbett is a bright, caring and compassionate person. He has
demonstrated his high professional competence and his exceptional personal character
and integrity throughout his tenure with this. department. He is known as a hard worker
with a competent grasp on balancing his zeal against his service and discretion.
Officer Corbett has conducted himself at all times in a manner that reflects most
favorably onhimself and the department. His commitment to service can be seen through
examples of his work. Two examples include an incident in which Officer Corbett was
credited with removing two ambulatory elderly residents from their burning home in the
Northridge area, and an incident in which he chased a fleeing suspect into a river where
he was able to apprehend the suspect and take him into custody.
Brett has maintained high professional standards while being extremely
productive and compassionate. Brett is a trained Jiu Jitsu instructor and is currently
preparing to teach a self-defense class for women to prevent them from becoming victims
of assault.
Officer Corbett has been a great addition to the police department and is an asset
to our agency and the community. I am extending my highest recommendation for the
confirmation of Brett Corbett as a Police Officer with the Kalispell Police Department.
Respectfully sub i d,
Frank er
