Performance Bond Reminders: Blue Herron is trying to get their final plat for Phase III. The
driveway to the Lift Station and the bike path are not completed. They said it was handled in the
combined SIA for Phase I and Phase II. Phase III needs to have these same things. They still have
not been done. We could extend what we have on file. They are still negotiating with Parks on their
Park Plan. Public Works and Planning need to figure out what will be required. We could allow
them to bond for this again.
OLD BUSINESS:
West Coast Hotel/Kalispell Center Mall — expansion — They have been sent a letter with
the Site Review requirements and were asked to work with Brent on the fire code issue.
They have not responded to the site review issues and they are coming up on needing their
remainder permit. We have gotten some calls from a different architectural firm for a coffee
shop at the Main and Center corner of the property.
NEW BUSINESS: None.
PLANNING OFFICE ITEMS: - Nothing on the agenda other than the work session.
OTHER REPORTS:
Lone Pine Meadows Subdivision — secondary access. 60' right-of-way to Learn Lane. This
county owned road will be overtopped during a 100 year flood event. Discussion was held
regarding the road. Westwood Subdivision was required to have a code compliant secondary
access road. The committee decided they will be required to make this road compliant to an
accessible road during the 100 year flood.
Bus Stops, Mail Boxes, and Lighting Requirements — Per a Public Works meeting, it was
suggested that we require the bus drop/pick-up areas to have pull in areas that would be
lighted according to the light standards. Discussion was held. With subdivisions, the bus stop
may not be a problem, but on streets, the buses would rather just stop in the street.
FYI — Carol Kostman is retiring at the end of December.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:35 a.m.
