ENGINEERING DIVISION

• Issued contractor NTP for lighting improvements at Second. Avenue West parking lot.

and Bering Creek Estates and received. MDT's comments regarding study for those
developments.

• Reviewed v the plans, engineer's report, and s ecIfreations for Spring Creek Estates.
• Located and flagged City Airport property stakes.
• Met NvIth Russell School representatives rcgjarditraffic.
Researched and reviewed MUTCD standards regarding traffic strr .ie , cross -walks,
school. zones, and stop signs.
Reviewed the .Marrs, engineer's report, and specificattons for Spring Creek Estates.
RevIewed video of Meridian Road sanitary sever and. began assembly of plans an

ENGINEERING DI VISION continued .. .
• Developed proposed traffic circulation map for Russell School. Provided copy to Chuck
Cassidy with. School istriet # to review and comment.
• Pot- ho led andsurveyed uti fity elevatlons for drainage project a " Avenue West. at W
1704. Made revisions to drainage project to accommodate utility conflicts.
• Surveyed drainage project at Fairview Blvd. and Whitefish Stage .load and started
drainage design.. Calculated .raina e runoff and infiltration trench s1 e for the project.

• Researched storm system/pond. size for new parking lot addi.tio� s.
• opened bids for the Street Maintenance Building.
• Assembled scope of work and began.: negotiations with a contractor to .replace the sanitary
sewer manhole at the intersection of Merldlan Road and 'Ll ert Street.
• Advised the site engineer for the new construction o : vCC as to the preferred location
of the parklng lot driveway onto Grandview Drive.
• Examined ship drawings and provided advice to the engineer on. the Lone Pine Meadows
sanitary sewer pumping station.

• Replaced broken radiator and leaking water pump on the #4 ambulance.

Replaced accessory drive belt on Water Division's truck.

Repaired emergency beacon.and ad' usted brakes on the Street IvIsIon's dump truck.
Repaired transmission. control solenoid on the Tenant sweeper.

• Continued video and jet cleaning of sever lines Monday through Thursday.

Produced 70 M gallons of water- 16 M gallons upper zone and 54 :M gallons lover zone.
•Injected 215 gallons of sodium hypochlorite, 1.2% solution. to maintain rag
chlorine residual of 0.30 PPM throughout the system.
Continued daily monitoring of all pump stations and routine ni.ain-tenance on all pumps,
rotors, chlorination equipment,, analyzers, grounds bufldmgs, controls., testy water
sampling., and record keepi .
• Repaired 'e . e and gate at Lawrence Park pump station.
• Cleaned up brush. and de is at the Lawrence Park pump station.
• Worked on the i t r'or of Noffsi ge.r Spring pip station; painti g, scraping old paint,
clothes rack, shower stall, etc.
• Changed light bulbs in the water tower.
• Repaired door locks at the Buffalo Hill chlorine room.
* Grouted and painted rotor and pump bases at the Buffalo Hill. booster station.

• Tagged 43 delinquent accounts on the .fast Side of Kalispell.
• Meter maintenance and change out on going.
• Repaired. 23 meters.
• Installed 121 meters.
• Completed 62 final readings.
+Pulled twelve 12 fire hydrant meters.
• worked valves on Teal and Meridian Road.
Repaired fire hydrants per the Fare Department.
•Dug curb stop at 23 2 Avenue west.

• Completed a 2" x 10" water tap on Hwy 93 North.

• Continued. regular maintenance of signals, sigyns, tumMaires, barricades, sight
obstructions, Airport lightins, alley 11ghting.
Completed traffic counts on Sysi.e Drive and Denver.
• Took banners down for the Hockaday Center.
0 Put up more reflectors on 25 mph signs', school crossing signs, and stop sign.
Changed. out four 21 '" poles to 2" poles.
Repaired door on bookcase for City Clerk.

• Replaced "Stop When Occupied" signs for school. crossings to .new arrow si.g ..
• Replaced. one MH burned out on " .venue West and 2`1 Street West on SW corner.
• Checked. plug -ins on West Center Street.
* Tested opticom at the new Costco location on Hey 93 North.
• Changed four broken globes on decorative lights In Woodland 'ark.
Had Thomas Electric work on the lights on West Center Street to get outlets working.
• Installed replacement pole and breakaway for directional arrow at Wood -land and East
Center Street that was destroyed by an acelde .t.
• Installed one new v sign pole and two sign . o Nevada and Call.. or is Streets to help
eliminate parkimz :problems in this area. Request made by the Police Department.
• Installed two poles and breakaways -- one on Mission Street and one on Three Mile and
.a vthome.
• .aced new signs on new poles at Three M le Drive and Hawthorn: e and Misslon Street.
• Changed #3 7 HPS on. 31 Avenue EN.
• Reinstalled signs and two poles at the high school parking let. on 4'h Avenue West.
