Subject: Re Airport Business/Eckels
Dear Mayor and Council Members:
Here are three important requests/questions:
1. Can Stelling create a business plan/prospectus for the city run the airport instead of
Red Eagle? There was a helicopter practicing laps on Sunday - what a disgrace for the city.
Remember, Polson runs their own airport and they have never had a complaint.
2. Can they move it out of town like other progressive cities?
I agree with law enforcement officials that the airport at its current location has
outgrown its usefulness.
3. Will they obey the law and apply for a conditional use permit?
(They can't get one because the airport is a detriment to health and
safety.)
Please read the city zoning codes for yourself and you will see that any change to
structure out there requires a conditional use permit.
I urge you to obey they law even though city officials will encourage you to "fudge"
the law to serve their corporate masters.
Thank you for your consideration.
