Accrued 4000+ flight hours. Demonstrated lifetime dedication to teaching and flight instruction.
Taught and performed phase checks of students, ran the business office and maintained
standardization of flight instructor and student records as Owner Operator/Chief Instructor for
Skyhawk Aviation; instituted FAR Part 141 program for private pilot training, Part 135 service
and Part 91 corporate operation; obtained Cessna Pilot Center qualification. Maintained and
supervised flight school operations including scheduling and maintenance, standardization of
flight instructors, and office management for Fullerton Skyways; performed phase checks and
recommended students for written and flight tests. Instructed Right students under the Cessna
Pilot Center system for North Island Navy Flying Club; performed primary and advanced
training in preparation for written and flight tests. Volunteered as an Accident Prevention
Counselor and Earned Phase 10 FAA Safety Wings.

Transferred to the Juneau, AK FSDO as the Aviation Safety Program Manager in 1992.
Established, continually expanded, and managed a safety program that has reached the
overwhelming majority of pilots in southeast Alaska. Supported Aviation Career Academies,
worked extensively with commercial operators including Alaska Airlines, wrote numerous safety
articles (200+) including a syndicated column for the Juneau Empire, and served as Alaska
Representative (4 separate terms of two years each) for the Technical Women's Organization.
Led the effort to produce local flying operations aids (booklets, films and border crossing cards)
for southeast Alaska in concert with Alaska Airlines, local operators, national and regional FAA
*ffices, Mexico and Transport Canada. Member of the CAMI Alaska Safety Report
