Aviation Resource EnterprisesAviation Resource Enterprises, LLC, consists of a group of professional consultants from
the aviation industry who recognize the need for a change in safety management,
philosophy and corporate culture within the industry. We are able to, with the operators
business in mind, develop a system that will assist in establishing a Safety Management
System (SMS) in compliance with the upcoming Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
requirements.
Aviation Resource Enterprises (ARE) through our Compass System training course, will
assist Management, Operations, Maintenance and Safety personnel to track and evaluate
safety trends within their business. Through an initial audit, the use of gap analysis and
communication with departments within the clients operation, ARE will allow clients to
develop an awareness of unsafe trends and encourage change within their present system.
The Compass System through a four point course, will assist the operator in conducting
continuing quality assurance and risk management for their company. Through the use of
a check list system, our program will assist the client in the identification of safety issues
and awareness trends in all areas of operation. At the completion of all four areas of
training, the operator will receive an emblem and certificate indicating the completion of
the course and their desire to become a safer operation.
We will assist the operator in developing a Safety Management System that is user
friendly, applicable to that particular operator, and that will enhance communication and
facilitate examination of potential safety issues.
Cost benefits to the operator will prove substantial when our Compass System training
program has been completed and a Safety Management System (SMS) has been
implemented. It is good business practice to recognize incidents and accidents through
analysis before they happen.
In the event of a mishap, insurance payout costs could be in the millions of dollars, which
could also mean the potential loss of insurance coverage for the client. Additional costs
incurred include loss of aircraft time and aircraft repair or replacement, loss of pilot time
and the cost to train new pilots. By the use of our system, mishap potential will be
reduced, thereby creating the potential for a reduction in insurance costs.
By implementing the Compass System training program and SMS the operator would be
ahead of the proposed federal requirements outlined in AC 120-92. There is a possibility
that the FAA could deny an operations certificate, once SMS is mandated, if SMS
requirements are not met. A relationship with ARE will allow an operator to be one step
ahead of the FAA mandate.
Through our audit and gap analysis, fewer enforcement actions, with the resulting
violations, fines and down time will be realized.
Our staff at Aviation Resource Enterprises will guide the operator in the development and
implementation of their particular SMS package through personal instruction, guidance
and the provision of materials required specific to that operation. We will present the
operator a course of instruction, the Compass System, which will compliment their own
existing safety system by enhancing organizational oversight. In the unfortunate event of
a mishap, ARE will to assist the operator with concerns, paperwork and information the
FAA and NTSB will require.
