President Gabriel called the meeting to order and led the Pledge of Allegiance. [111TIA11 There was no discussion. KALISPELL GOLF ASSOCIATION — ANNUAL LEASE PAYMENT WAIVER RE UEST KGA requested the city apply its annual lease payment toward the cost of the Stillwater Riverbank Stabilization Project. Harball gave a report. Kalispell City Council Minutes June 4, 2012 Page 1 10:13twrim, IIIQII Steve Dunfee, Kalispell Golf Association, 1176 North Main, explained this is a credit request and not a waiver of the lease payment, for funds expended for the erosion project. He said he feels it is part of the capital protection plan and asked council to recognize the significant funds KGA has spent on the erosion project. Harball answered questions. The motion was seconded. L1=1 Atkinson remarked the motion is not germane to KGA's appeal and will essentially table it. Guiffrida agreed, stating KGA is simply asking for a credit on their lease payment. The motion failed upon roll call vote with Hafferman voting in favor, Atkinson, Gabriel, Guiffrida, Kenyon, and Kluesner voting against, with Saverud, Zauner, and Mayor Fisher absent. due June 30, 2012. The motion was seconded. Kenyon said the city should help the KGA because the golf course is one of the crown jewels of Kalispell. Guiffrida noted he will vote against the motion because the credit would affect the General Fund. RESOLUTION 5564 - PRELIMINARY PLAT EXTENSION - WEST VIEW ESTATES PHASE 4 This is a request for a two-year extension of the preliminary plat of West View Estates, Phase 4 located at the northeast comer of the intersection of West Reserve Drive and Stillwater Road. Guiffrida moved Resolution 5564, a resolution approving a two year extension to the preliminary plat of West View Estates Phase 4, located on the northeast corner of West Reserve Drive and Stillwater Road. The motion was seconded. Council Discussion None. 'ATT, absent. Harball reminded council of the budget work session scheduled for June 11. Guiffrida remarked he has received complaints about properties with overgrown grass and weeds. Jentz explained staff is watching several areas in the city, but the ordinance restricts any notification until after July 1.
