Approval of Minutes: Russ moved to approve the April 24 minutes; John seconded.
Approved 5-0.
Old Business: None
New Business:
Flathead Industries — 40 E Idaho — new wall sign. 160 sq ft. Similar to sign approved earlier
this year. Concern about its size on the building in this location next to the road and major
intersection. Would like to discuss resizing it with the owner and take a closer look on the site.
John moved to table until owner could be present; Bill seconded. Motion to table passed 5-0.
Los Caporales — 1600 Hwy 93 S — roof extension, outdoor seating area, and new signage.
Reviewed plans showing the roof extension (over existing roof that is leaking). Seating area
enclosed with a low wall. Roof sign includes neon and internally lit characters. Some discussion
regarding whether the sign projects over the roof line. It can be on a parapet, but the sign cannot
be mounted to project over a roof line if it is not on a parapet. It will be designed to meet that
standard. Any new lights in the seating area will need to meet lighting ordinance. Russ moved
to approve; Julie seconded. Approved 5-0.
