The fire hydrant locations are acceptable as located. Fire -flow for this project is required to meet the provisions of the 23 International Fire Code. It is my understanding that all construction in this area is limited to one and two family dwellings, presumably less than 3600 square feet in size. A minimum fire -flow of 1000 gallons per minute, with a residual pressure of 20 psi, is required. This is standard requirement for all developments with one and two family dwellings, up t 3600 square feet in size. Structures other than one and two family dwellings i.e. commercial buildings) and those greater than 3600 square feet will require 1500 gallons per minute as a minimum imam — in this case: the size of the building and type of construction determine the actual fire -flow requirement.
