Approval of Minutes: Janet moved to approve the April 24 minutes; John seconded.
Approved 5-0.

New Business:
Spring Prairie Ph 3 (Kohls) — overall site and landscaping plan — reviewed the
submitted plans. They want to make some revisions due to cost issues they have run into.
They want to take landscaping islands in the middle of the rows and bring them down to
the southern end of the aisles. There could be some adjustments in the bike path and a
retaining wall area. They also want to reduce the number of walkways from two to one.
John moved to approve the site plan as submitted (relocated landscaping/bike
path/retaining wall OK; revised walkways need to be submitted for approval); Mark
seconded. Approved 5-0.
Other Discussion:
Wayfinding Signs — Update from Katherine. Discussed poles- black is good; the fancy
ones are great. Back side of the sign — color, maybe do a "sandwich." Like the cap on
the pole extending over the top of the sign. Probably blue on the back. Diane provided
an update on the gateway signs. Suggested a "welcome to historic Downtown Kalispell"
sign — one could go on the south end of the courthouse. Back lit letters. Like full light
poles, not stubby ones. Prefer brick over rock. Discussed size.
