The tasks that are undertaken by this Commission sound interesting and challenging to me, and I would like to be a participant in helping to see that our police department continues to function in a way that best serves our community. I have had the opportunity to closely observe some law enforcement professionals in action, beginning with my uncle, Carle O'Neil, who was Juvenile Probation officer for this region when I was in high school. He went on to work in the correctional system in the state of California, and then became superintendent of the Boys' Training School in the state of Iowa. I would be interested in the Urban Renewal Agency Board as a first choice and the Planning Board as a second choice, or perhaps both. I have been a property owner in Kalispell for 34 years and a business owner for almost 30 years. I was involved with the original redevelopment program back in the early 1980's and also sat on one of the first architectural review comities for about three years. I also was active in the Chamber of Commerce downtown retail committee at that time serving as its chairman. I would like to once again become involved after a 20 year hiatus. I do have some time constraints because of the need to take care of my business. I would usually be available for meetings before 10:00 Am., and anytime after 60:00 pm. I did not see any meeting times posted in the newspaper article. If I can answer any other questions please feel free to call me Tuesday- Friday 10:00 am. To 5:30 pm. At 755-4220 Thank you.
