Approval of Minutes: Janet moved to approve the March 27 minutes; Bill seconded.
Approved 7-0.
Old Business: None
New Business:
R&R Home — 233 2nd St W; new projecting sign. Aluminum dibond. Unlit. Russ
moved to approve; John seconded. Approved 7-0.
FVCC — Grandview Drive; new campus building/nursing school. Corey recused himself,
Mark acted as chair. CTA showed the computer imaging for the project, including site
plan/exterior/some interior. Some samples of concrete block and metal, windows.
Discussed roof heights — looks a little flat from highway. Discussed utilities. Suggested
outdoor gathering space. Bill moved to approve. Julie seconded. Approved 6-0.
Other Discussion:
Wayfinding Signs — Katherine presented the background info on the grant she is
working through. Discussion on the size of the signs and noted the black bands. They
liked the single pole design best. Liked the subtle differences between the historic
downtown and regular signs. The red in the downtown logo looks good. April 25/26
open house. 4 inch to 6 inch lettering depending upon road. Contrast in lettering is good.
#5 is a favorite, but maybe a deeper green. Maybe shift mountain scene into the arch.
Katherine will be back in about a month.
