LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Lot 15, Block 87 Kalispell Original Townsite, located in Section 18,
Township 28 North, Range 21 West, P.M.M., Flathead County,
Montana
ZONE: Residential Apartment, RA-1
The applicant has applied to the City of Kalispell for a conditional use permit to allow a
community residential facility as a transition home for boys or girls leaving the Montana Academy.
The facility will help the residents learn the tasks of young adulthood by supervising them as they
work or attend college.
The Kalispell City Planning Board and Zoning Commission, after due and proper notice, on
November 29, 2011, held a public hearing on the application, took public comment and
recommended that the application be approved subject to three conditions.
After reviewing the application, the record, the KPD report, and after duly considering the
matter, the City Council of the City of Kalispell, pursuant to the Kalispell Zoning Ordinance, hereby
adopts Kalispell Planning Department Conditional Use Report #KCU-11-4 as the Council's findings
of fact, and issues and grants to the above -described real property a conditional use permit to allow a
corm•nunity residential facility in a Residential Apartment, RA-1 zoning district subject to the
following conditions:

That all required licensing, inspections and approvals are obtained from the Private
Alternative Adolescent Residential and Outdoor Programs (PAAROP) Board in accordance
with state law, the Kalispell Fire Department and City Building Department.
2. That commencement of the approved activity must begin within 18 months from the date of
authorization or that a continuous good faith effort is made to bring the project to
completion.
3. The Montana Academy shall provide proof of renewed state licensing to the City of Kalispell
annually, within 15 days of the yearly licensing date.
