I will make my remarks brief. I have spent my entire life in the construction industry. With a father in the commercial and industrial roofing fields and other family members in the building trades, I have heard and seen a great deal. As you will see in my resume, I have extensive firsthand experience in commercial and residential construction. Over the course of my life I have had the privilege to travel around the country for work and non -work related purposes. During this time I have talked to a great deal of people and visited many places. I could not help notice how some locations were laid out different than others. Some of these places were efficient designs so that growth would expand steadily and evenly without destroying the area with massive eye sores. For example, the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania use to be a beautiful resort for people that wanted to get out into the country to relax from places like New York and Philadelphia. If you visit there now it looks like a rundown casino looking town that got hit by a hurricane. It has billboards all over the place that are falling apart, rundown old buildings with newer vastly cheaper looking structures spotted all over the town. The bottom line is that the Poconos exploded with growth and interest,, but it was not managed reasonably so that anything was allowed and it finally reached a point where it wasn't attractive anymore. I feel that decisions concerning our community should be made in the best interest of our entire community, and not just one faction or aspect of it. I'm a builder, but I'm not here to slant all my opinions and recommendations to favor just the building industry. I'm here to keep it reasonable and fair concerning what is in the best interest of Kalispell and its future so that it doesn't turn into another Poconos Resort debacle. The Flathead Valley is a beautiful area and my home and I would like to offer my experience and knowledge to the Planning Board in order to keep it that way for generations to come. Thank you for your time, Jason Mueller ROCK RIVER BUILDERS, LLC OBJECTIVE: The building of fine custom residential homes and commercial buildings. • Problem solving mentality. • Honest, punctual, hard working individual taking pride in nay work. • Grew up around the construction industry. ® College courses in drainage, surveying, construction management, building methods (i.e. statics, electrical, plumbing, HVAC...) as well as other construction related courses. • Commercial field engineer • Assistant commercial superintendent • General contracting business, commercial/residential • Member of the National Association of Home Builders • [ember of the Montana Building Industry Association 00 - Q1 D Rock River Builders, LLC (Kalispell, T) After building custom log homes in Wyoming for a year I decided to start my oven business (Dock liver Builders, LLC).
