SUBJECT Second Reading - Cornerstone Community ChurchNalley Bank — Request for
one-year extension of the Planned Unit Development overlay zoning
MEETING DATE: April 4, 2011
BACKGROUND: This is the second reading on a request by Ron Rosenberg, President of Valley
Bank of Kalispell and Luke Knoll, ll, Pastor of Cornerstone Community Church for a one-year
extension of the Planned Unit Development (PUD) overlay zoning on the properties. The PUD
permitted the construction of a bank at the corner of the Northridge Drive and Highway 93 with
shared parking between the bank and the Cornerstone Community Church.
The Kalispell City Council approved the first reading of the extension request at their regular meeting
of March 21, 2011.
RECOMMENDATION.* A motion to approve the second reading of the extension request for the
PUD ordinance would be in order.
FISCAL EFFECTS: Minor positive effects once annexed.
ALTERNATIVES: As suggested by the city council.

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Kalispell approved the Cornerstone Community
Church Planned unit Development Agreement on April 6, 2009; and
WHEREAS, condition 10 of the Cornerstone Community Church Planned Unit Development
Agreement granted the property owners two years to obtain the permits to begin
construction. of a Valley Bank branch on the property; and
WHEREAS, Cornerstone Community Church now desires a one-year extension to the Planned
Unit Development due to economic conditions; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of Kalispell that the Cornerstone Community
Church Planned Unit Development Agreement be amended as set forth below.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
KAI....ISPELL, MONTANA AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. That the Cornerstone Community Church Planned Unit Development shall be
extended for a period of one year until April 6, 2012.
ECTION II. This ordinance shall take effect from and after 30 days of its passage by the
City Council.
