Paul - F.A.A. - Seattle U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration Mr. Lee Tower Airport Manager Kalispell City Airport 907 7th Avenue, East Kalispell, MT 59901 Dear Mr. Tower Northwest Mountain Region 17900 Pacific Highway South Colorado, Idaho, Montana, C-68966 Oregon, Utah, Washington, Seattle, Washington 98168 Wyoming Enclosed are 17 letters we recently received expressing safety concerns on the radio towers south of your airport. A review of our records shows that the radio towers existed in 1964 when the City of Kalispell proposed reactivation of the airport. In fact, the Federal Aviation Administration advised the city at that time that they should consider the effect the towers would have on operations at the airport and/or the effect the airport would have on the towers. Considering the above circumstances, we are forwarding these letters to you for your action. Enclosed is a copy of the recently revised Marking and Lighting Advisory Circular for your use should you decide to contact the tower owners regarding strobe lighting. If you have any questions, please call me at (206) 431-2535. Sincerely, erg Katherine G.
