Box 4652, Whitefish, MT 59937; telephone (406) 862.8152, fax (406) 862.8153. Bidders submitting a bone fide bid are required to obtain at least one (1) complete set of Bidding Documents. When obtaining Bidding Documents, Bidders shall identify themselves as legitimate Bidders by means of Company stationary or business cards. The deposit amount will be refunded only to bidders who submit a bone fide bid and who return the documents in good condition within ten days after the date of the bid opening. All deposit checks shall be made out to Grover + Company. All bidders shall, as bid security, accompany the bid with lawful money of the United States, a Cashier's check, Certified check, Bank Money Order, or Bank Draft, drawn and issued by a national bank located in Montana, or by a banking corporation incorporated in Montana or a bid bond, or bonds, executed by a surety corporation authorized to do business in Montana, in the amount of Ten Percent (10%) of the amount bid. Any such bank instrument shall be payable to the City of Kalispell. If a contract is awarded, the bidder whose bond is accepted and who shall thereafter refuse to enter into and execute the proposed contract, or provide sufficient performance security, as stated in the covenant, shall absolutely forfeit such moneys or bank instruments to the City of Kalispell, and become immediately liable on said bid bond in said sum. The money, bank instrument or bid bond shall be returned to the unsuccessful bidders. Each bid must also be accompanied by a Non -Collusion Affidavit and by an affidavit of Non - Delinquency of Personal Property Taxes. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in an amount not less than 100% of their Contract Sum. A Pre -Bid informational meeting will be held at 9:00 AM Mountain Time, Daylight Savings Time on May 3, 2005 at Kalispell City Hall, 312 1st Avenue East, Kalispell, MT. The successful Bidder will be subject to Liquidated Damages if the Project is not completed within the Contract Time. Contractor must comply with the Prevailing Wage Rates on public improvements in Flathead County, Montana as ascertained by the Department of Labor and Industry, State of Montana. Each Bidder must ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, creed, color, sex, national origin, familial status or handicap. CONTRACTOR(s) and any of the CONTRACTOR'S subcontractors bidding on this project will be required to obtain registration with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). Budget, planning, and public engagement will also be integral parts of this plan. All proposals must meet or exceed the minimum specifications on file in the Kalispell Fire Department, City Hall, 312 1 st Avenue East, Kalispell, Montana.
