BACKGROUND: The Grover Company and Cole + Russell Associates were retained to develop
a plan for the design and construction of a north fire station. The first step in this process was to
develop a feasibility study including a needs assessment, conceptual plan, estimates for construction,
and recommendations for funding and construction. They are ready to present their findings to the
Council.
August 19`h is the last day to submit documents for general obligation bonds to the county for the
November general election. Should Council decide to put this before the voters as a general
obligation bond, a resolution will be presented to Council for approval at the August 16, 2004
council meeting.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Council reviews the presentation by The Grover Company and Cole +
Russell Associates and discusses construction and funding options for the north fire station.
