I have been advised by my client, Ron Pack, that the Hampton Inn project has been extremely
adversely impacted by the unsettled weather experienced in the Flathead this past week. As a
result, the portion of that project dealing with paving and other outside work has now fallen
critically behind schedule. Mr. Pack advises further that because of the hours of work needed
to get this site ready for paving, he has been unable to address a few other remaining problems
which are to be the subject of a meeting between your office and Mr. Plambeck. However, Mr.
Pack advised me of the following:
1. The restaurant is no longer part of this project and is a dead issue. Therefore,
matters of concern recently expressed dealing with parking, access, etc. to the restaurant facility
are no longer at issue.
2. Access matters affecting the Montana Department of Highways have now been
addressed at a meeting with the Highway Department and review and resolution is ongoing.
3. Issues which deal with the Army Corps of Engineers, water quality and potential
flood way revisions have been turned over to the project engineers and Mr. Pack advises that
sometime next week he will have some information on these issues, but is not sure when.
Mr. Pack advises that because of the construction crises in getting the property prepared for the
final outside work (paving, etc.), it will be impossible for him to meet with you on Wednesday,
November 13. Mr. Pack advises that he deems it very important that this meeting be held and
that as soon as construction of the outside facilities is back on schedule he will be ready to meet

with you. Mr. Pack has indicated he will advise me of the status of this situation by November.
13 and I will contact you on either the 13th or 14th to reschedule.
Yours truly,
