Box 1997 Zip 69903 IFax(406) 768-7739 RE: Kalispell Hampton Inn Floodplain Development Permit Application Dear Mr. Stulc: Thank you for submitting the Hampton Inn Floodplain Development Permit application by the June 4, 1997 deadline. Unfortunately, I am unable to process the application until I have received more information from you regarding the development. In order to continue the review of the application, I will require the following from you: 1) A project site map indicating the pre -development floodplain and floodway boundaries and original cross sections with the flood elevations. 2) A scaled project map indicating everything that has been placed in the floodplain such as fill, culverts, etc., their elevations, sizes and lengths. Also, indicate post - development floodplain and floodway boundaries and the surveyed cross sections used for the analysis. This map should also indicate adjoining property owners. 3) A computer water surface profile program model (such as HEC-2) input data and output run which includes the changes in the flood elevations. Also, a table showing the comparison of pre -development and post development 100 year flood elevations, floodplain widths, and floodway widths. Although a scaled project map was submitted to this office at an earlier date, indicating items that have been placed in the floodplain, I would require that this map be updated to show what is actually on -site. This revised map will need to show adjacent properties and indicate post -development floodplain and floodway boundaries. (Item 92 above) Once the above required information is received by this office, I will then ran a legal notice in the local newspaper and notify adjacent property owners of the floodplain development pen -nit application. Again, if there is significant concern from neighboring property owners, I will have to schedule a public healing. Please keep in mind that July 1, 1997 is the deadline to have this application processed. Please let me know if I can do anything to help you.
