Hansz/Waterford on Summit Ridgea October 6, 1999 Ryan Fisher Billmayer Engineering 2191 Third Avenue East Kalispell, Montana 59901 Re: Waterford on Summit Ridge Dear Mr. Fisher: The Public Works Department has reviewed the site, roadway and utility plans for the Waterford project and the following are the items we discussed with you during our meeting October 5`h: 1. A cul-de-sac needs to be constructed at the end of Summit Ridge Drive. 2. A drainage and erosion control plan needs to be developed for the spoil material that is shown on the plans to be placed adjacent to and south of the project site. Also, as we discussed, if this property is not part of this development then documentation must be provided that clearly indicates permission has been obtained for placement of the spoil material on the property. 3. An easement needs to be provided for the 12-inch diameter water main along the easterly side of the site. 4. Sidewalks are required on both sides of the streets. This is extremely important in this type of development where an above normal amount of pedestrian traffic can be expected. 5. Provide a pedestrian path from the project to the north side of Four We Drive to connect with the City recreation complex. 6. Parking along Waterford Loop needs to be offset from the traveled way so vehicles do not back into the traffic lane. Post Office Box 1997 - Kalispell, Montana 59903-1997 Telephone (406) 758-7700 • FAX (406) 758-7758 7. Four Mile Drive should be constructed with 18 inches of select sub -base, 3 inches of crushed base and 4 inches of asphalt. 8. Waterford Loop should have 4 inches of asphalt. 9. As we discussed, the bid schedule should have an additive alternate for 950 L.F. of 12- inch diameter water main on Four Mile Drive. Please let us know your anticipated schedule for submitting the revised plans, and feel free to call if you have any questions. Sincerely, Director of Public er
