RE: Glacier Village Greens
Chris,
I've had an opportunity to explore the potential Parks & Recreation service
plan for Glacier Village Greens. After examining the plats and visiting with the
County Parks Superintendent (Jed Fisher), neither the County or the City have
deeded parkland in this subdivision.
The developers chose to meet their parkland requirements by designating
their park areas as homeowner association parks, green space and open areas.
Unless they chose to deed their parkland to the City or County and we chose to
accept, we have no service commitment in the Village Greens subdivision when
it comes to parks.
The following outlines potential service commitments by the City of
Kalispell:
1, Parks: No public parkland at this time, no service commitment.
II. Recreation: Residents will be eligible to participate in all City Recreation
programs at the In -City fee rate.
Ill. Forestry: Public right-of-ways are 60 feet, allowing space for the planting of

boulevard trees. The City will develop a planting program working with the
homeowners on specie selection, location and maintenance.
If more detailed information is needed, please feel free to give me a call.
