This collaborative project will benefit the City and the College. The City enjoys the relationship with the College by providing ride along and "intern" experience for students enrolled in EMS training. Moreover, the possibility of co -locating a fire -training center next to the City's new fire station would further facilitate the training of new fire fighters for all of the northwestern Montana area. Unfortunately, the City of Kalispell must make a decision on the land by January 19th to stay on a schedule designed to obtain the lowest contractor costs and to get the station constructed this year. The City prefers to locate next to the College to facilitate the training opportunities. If you do not wish to sell the property, we wish to continue working with the College to provide regional fire and EMS training. I look forward to receiving a response prior to January 19th. If I, or my staff, can be of further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me at 758-7703. Respectfully, James H. Patrick CityManager
