Re: Glacier Commons Subdivision Improvements
Kalispell, Montana
Dear Chris:
In March of 2003, we presented a request to the Kalispell Public Works Department to
construct Granrud Lane according to the City's alternate local street detail with the
inclusion of an 8' bike path. We believe this section will make Granrud Lane more
accessible for pedestrian traffic and provides a better enhancement to the
neighborhood. On April 1, 2003, we received correspondence from Jim Hansz
indicating that the public works department had no disagreement in principle with the
proposed section. Additionally, the public works department indicated to us that this
revision would have to be approved by the City Council.
At your direction, we would request that this item be placed on a subsequent City
Council meeting so that we can request approval for the design consistent with the
alternate local street with the addition of an 8' bike path as outlined in our
correspondence to Jim Hansz dated April 9, 2003 (attached). I would be glad to meet
with you and your staff if necessary to look over the construction of Granrud Drive.
Please review this at your earliest convenience so that we can discuss how to proceed.
Sincerely,
SCHW,gR? ARCHITECTURE &. ENGINEERING, Inc.
