The Board of Adjustment meeting was held February 9, 1976, at 7:30 P. M.
in the City Council chambers. Members present were: Vice -Chairman Dr.
John Roche, Jean Harrington, Hal Sampson and F. T. O'Boyle. Also present
were Secretary Harvey L. Knebel, Mayor Norma Rapp, Mary Pettit from the
InterLake, Ivan O!,Neil, Norb Donahue, Dean Jellison and four citizens.
Minutes from the January 12th meeting were read and approved by all members.
The primary purpose of this hearing is to consider,.the use and variance for
the Immanual Luthern Home, located on Buffalo Hill. Ivan O'Neil presented
the plans for the addition to the Luthern Home.
Dean Jellison spoke in favor of granting the variance. He lives across the
street from the development. He requested that not to large a .parking area
be required.
Dan Lundgren is in favor of granting variance to the Luthern Home.
Tom Harmon stated that he thought'it a wonderful institution and is in favor
of granting the variance.
Dr. Roche moved that the variance be granVed. Seconded by Frances O'Boyle.
Rollr:call vote taken. All four members ;present voted aye; Secretary to notify the
Luthern Home.
Hal Sampson stated that everyone including Drs,• and nurses are in favor of
this variance being granted.
Dr. Roche opened a discussion on the variance for the old.hospital to gather
information for the board prior to the public hearing scheduled Feburary 23, 1976.
