1. The minutes for April were approved as written.
2. HEAR THE PUBLIC No public wished to speak at this time.
3. SPACE DAY -- Rough estimate of 3-4,000 folks attended. Everyone felt it was a success.
Dave Hoemer mentioned that he was nervous with so many folks on his property because too
many were around moving planes. Chuck Statum indicated that they were not sure they
would do this again next year because the Blue Angels are tentatively scheduled. The Board
suggested that the following items be reviewed before the next event:
a. A safety/security plan needs to be in place, including the appropriate number of
volunteers or professionals to staff it.
b. Tents must follow the airport guidelines.
4. There was a lengthy discussion on whether the FBO location should be moved back to mid
runway. Pati indicated that she was asked by Chris Kukulski to have Phil Porinni provide his
expertise. Pati provided a memo that came from Phil that afternoon. After reviewing the pros
& cons of making the change, the Board voted to leave the FBO north of the Waste Water
Treatment Plant Road. The Board also confirmed that the only new hangar spaces will be
those north of the access taxiway B for now. The hangar areas south of access taxiway B will
be considered for an FBO. At the end of the discussion, we received an overlay for
infrastructure from Dennis Carver.
5. Gib, Keith, & Scott agreed to provide the missing pieces for the web page.
6. Pati mentioned that we had received a lawsuit from Diamond Aire.
Scott mentioned that he is attending auctions looking for a plow & mower. In addition, he
asked that Pati send him the information regarding the Homeland Security Meeting that will
be held here this summer.
8. Meeting Adjourned at 4:20.
