To whom it may concern:
I was in Kalispell for two days a couple weeks ago. As a private pilot I just wanted to let the city
of Kalispell know how appreciated the airport in town is. Being able to walk to a good motel (the
Aero Inn), a good dinner spot (Scotties), and a well equipped grocery store/deli (Rosauers), is
remarkably rare in the general aviation world, and it is much appreciated. I have told other pilot
friends (through a widely read internet forum for pilots) that Kalispell is worth a stop. I know I
will be back next summer, and use it as a home base while I explore the nearby area. I also really
liked the downtown section, easily accessible to me with my folding bike.
I spent over $200.00 while in town, and then I left! So, good "new" money was flown in by me!
Please keep this in mind if ever some talk of closing the older airport, now that the Glacier
International is in place. I would NEVER stop in Kalispell if I had to land out there, it is of no
interest to me whatsoever, compared to the friendly and convenient in town airstrip.
Thanks, you have a great town!
