Resolution 5459 - Budget Amendment - Bureau of Justice Assistance GrantA RESOLUTION AMENDING THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATIONS OF THE CITY OF
KALISPELL, MONTANA, AS SET FORTH IN THE 2010-2011 BUDGET ADOPTED BY
THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE PURPOSE OF ACCEPTANCE OF A BUREAU OF
JUSTICE ASSISTANCE GRANT FOR EQUIPMENT PURCHASES FOR THE
KALISPELL POLICE DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, on August 16, 2010, the City Council adopted Resolution 5444 adopting the
annual appropriations of the City of Kalispell for fiscal year 2010-2011; and
WHEREAS, on September 1, 2010, the City of Kalispell was informed that it was a recipient of
a grant award from the Bureau of Justice Assistance in the amount of up to
$19,189 to pay for two (2) video recording systems for patrol motorcycles and two
(2) pieces of fitness training equipment for the Kalispell Police Department; and
WHEREAS, said funds available to the City were not appropriated pursuant to Section 7-6-
4271, and an increase of appropriation authority is needed.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
KALISPELL AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. That the City Council hereby accepts the Bureau of Justice Assistance
Grant in the amount of up to $19,189.
SECTION II. That the City Council hereby appropriates up to the sum of $19,189 and
directs the Finance Director to allocate said amount.
