FW: KGEZ Tower array duplicationCharlie:
In your explanation of the legal jargon to get this job done, you may need
to give a brief explanation of how we intend to build the system for KGEZ.
We plan to use the low power "STL" link microwave transmitter because we
will have line of site. With a 30 foot tower at the studio and the
transmitter located up on one of the towers, a sufficient distance, we will
have the line of site needed. I will investigate the closest T-1 line to
see if it would be cheaper to go with the telephone line or T-1 line. If
there is a T-1 line down Hwy 93, we could be closer than we think. Let me
know what else you need for your legal opinion. I am still down from the
hernia operation, but have my cell and computer up and running next to me,
thanks.

That's a good a guesstimate as one could make right now - maybe $500 k.
The way signal gets from the studio to the transmitter is by a wire-line
connection (audio line or T-1 line) furnished by telco, or by use of an
"STL" link, which is a low power microwave transmitter. It requires
line-of-sight, but I suspect that there would be line of site from his
present studio to the putative new location, with the transmitting
antenna on a short (less than 50) structure at the studio, and the
receiving antenna mounted on one of the towers.
