RE: Meeting (4)Vaughn:
Yes, we are going to have an open house to answer questions about the
airport. It will be well publicized, but I will try to remind you. The
airport has been here for almost 80 years, it is old and worn out and in
bad need of upgrading to meet today's standards. It generates nearly
$24 Million in economic benefits for the community. We have a developer
(FAA) who said they will commit nearly $15 Million to its upgrade (95%).
This is a no brainer. But, we have a few people who dislike airplanes,
they think this airport is only for the rich and famous. They should
look at the equipment at GPI. We need local businesses to step forward
and speak about the economic impact of this important asset of the City
and Community.

Subject: Meeting
Fred
I heard of the meeting that is coming up regarding the expansion of the
city airport and the concerns with noise. Is there anything that I can
be of help with? My feeling is that the people that are complaining, new
the airport was there when they moved in. Get over it.
Thanks
Vaughn
