Airport Name: Kalispell City
Airport Location Identifier: S27
Duplicate Aircraft at Your Airport:
Duplicate Aircraft at Other Airports: 3
Aircraft Not in Aircraft Registry: 0
Confirmed Aircraft Data: 04/02/2009
Thank you for confirming your based aircraft at www.BasedAircraft.com.
You data is critical in confirming based aircraft statistics used by the
FAA for their NPIAS Report to Congress, while also providing data
analysis results used in supporting the FAA's short and long range
development projects and forecasts in the National Airspace System.
MAINTAINING YOUR BASED AIRCRAFT COUNT
Although the FAA is currently only counting single-engine, multiengine,
jet, and helicopters, many airport managers choose to enter any and all
aircraft based at their airport in BasedAircraft.com. That way, all of
your based aircraft records are in one place. By adding, deleting, or
modifying an aircraft record at the time you learn of the change, your
BasedAircraft.com records will always be up to date and you will be
ready to upload the data into 5010web.com.
KEEPING YOUR 5010WEB.COM UP TO DATE
Airport inspectors are no longer able to add, delete, or edit any
single-engine, multi-engine, jet, or helicopter count in 51010Web.com at
non-primary NPIAS airports. As an airport manager you are able to edit
and maintain your based aircraft counts as needed at BasedAircraft.com
and and have state inspectors import current counts from
BasedAircraft.com into 5010Web.com at any time.
That's why it is so important to everyone that airport managers verify
their based aircraft and delete any aircraft that are not at their
airport. If an aircraft is shown as a duplicate at another airport, the
airport manager should enter a comment in that aircraft record giving
reasons why they are counting it at their airport.
HELP DEFINE A DUPLICATE AIRCRAFT
It makes sense that an aircraft could be based at more than one airport.
A business could be based in Virginia and have a plant in Ohio. There
are many seasonal reasons - snow birds, agricultural application, fire
fighting, etc. The FAA is considering criteria to allow for certain
duplicates and NASAO is assisting in this effort by identifying the most
common reasons aircraft are based at more than one airport. You can
help, by entering your reason for claiming an aircraft that is also
reported by another airport in the aircraft comment field.
NASAO'S ROLE
The National Association of State Aviation Officials (NASAO) is working
with GCR to improve the communication between all sectors of the
aviation community (safety inspectors, airport management, state
agencies, and FAA), while also assisting the FAA by promoting the
on-going based aircraft inventory effort, disseminating the data results
nationwide, and assisting states on matters of
aircraft duplication and validation.
Also, NASAO is here to answer your questions. Just call Collins Friddle
at (301) 641-2900 and he will be happy to help you through the process
of confirming your aircraft counts.
