UPDATE- SUSPICIOUS DEATH

On 7/31 /2026 at 9:47 AM officers with the Kalispell Police Department responded to a
welfare check at a residence in the 700 block of 11 th Avenue West. Upon arrival, officers
located a deceased adult female inside the residence.
The deceased has been identified as 62-year-old Julie Brandner of Kalispell. Notification of
next of kin has been made.
Based on the circumstances encountered, the death is being investigated as suspicious.
Detectives are actively investigating the incident.
Although we understand the public may have numerous questions regarding this case, at
this time, no additional information is being released in order to protect the integrity of the
ongoing investigation. There is no known threat to the public.

On July 31 st, 2026, at approximately 09:47 am, Kalispell Police Department received a call
for a welfare check on the 700 block of 11 th Ave W.
Law enforcement is investigating a suspicious death. More details will be released at the
appropriate time.
There will be a large police presence in the area for several hours. There is no known danger
to the public.
