UPDATE Threats Investigation — Suspect in Custody
8/3/2026 at 8:01 PM - The Kalispell Police Department has concluded its response to a
threat's investigation in the 1800 block of Airport Road.
Officers responded to investigate reported threats of violence. When contacted, the
suspect threatened officers with violence. Due to the nature of the incident, the Northwest
Montana Regional SWAT Team responded and negotiated with the suspect.
The suspect, identified as 43-year-old Kalispell resident Brian Weidner, was taken into
custody without incident following negotiations. Weidner will be booked into Flathead
County Detention Center and is being charged with Felony Intimidation.
The Kalispell Police Department would like to thank the Flathead County Sheriff's Office for
their assistance along with the public for avoiding the area while officers safely resolved
the incident.

8/3/2026 at 6:36 PM - The Kalispell Police Department responded this afternoon to a report
of threats of violence. During the course of the investigation, the Northwest Montana
Regional SWAT Team was requested to assist.
Law enforcement personnel will be operating in the 1800 block of Airport Road for the
foreseeable future. Out of an abundance of caution, we ask the public to avoid the area
while officers safely conduct their operations.
