SUBJECT: Fiscal Year 2027 Budget Public Hearing
MEETING DATE: July 6, 2026
BACKGROUND: At the June 15, 2026, regular meeting, the City Council authorized the
expenditure of funds necessary for day-to-day operations under the Fiscal Year 2027 Preliminary
Budget and set July 6, 2026, as the date for a public hearing prior to final adoption of the
FY2027 Budget. Work sessions on the budget were held May 11, and May 13, 2026, with
various budget topics presented at other meetings as well. On July 13, 2026, Council will hold an
additional budget work session.
On August 17, 2026, Council will consider the final budget and establish respective levies.
Public comments are welcome anytime prior to final adoption.
RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council hold a public hearing and
accept public comment on the FY2027 budget.
