Russell Sias Abortion Public Comment, 5-18-26Chemical Abortion Pills Leave Something Behind in Your Water A mother in Ohio turns on her tap, fills a glass, and has no idea what the abortion industry has been dumping into that water for decades. The EPA has never been required to check — and three Democrat presidents made sure it stayed that way. Students for Life of America finally looked, and what they found should make every American furious. Here is how it works. Mifepristone — the first pill in the Chemical Abortion Pill regimen — works by blocking progesterone, the hormone that sustains pregnancy. When a woman takes mifepristone at home and the process is complete, the metabolites from that drug do not simply disappear. They leave her body and enter the water supply — still active, still blocking progesterone. Water treatment plants are not designed or required to filter them out. According to Students for Life of America, more than 50 tons of abortion pollution — including chemically tainted blood, placental tissue, and human remains — are flushed into America's waterways every year. That is not a fringe claim. That figure is derived from the abortion industry's own data, using calculations from the Planned Parenthood -founded Guttmacher Institute. SFLA's water testing found those pharmaceutical metabolites present in natural waterways both upstream and downstream from water treatment plants — and in tap water. When SFLA filed its formal comment with the EPA in April 2026, it cited findings that mifepristone's active metabolites exceeded the EPA's own Maximum Contaminant Level — the threshold at which water contaminants are considered harmful to public health. The FDA has never conducted a Clean Water Act review of mifepristone — not when it changed the drug's protocols in 2016, 2019, 2021, or 2023, and not when it approved a new generic in 2025. Every single expansion of Chemical Abortion Pill distribution happened without anyone in the federal government asking what those pills do to the water the rest of us drink. Your State's Endangered Species Are at Risk Too VIABILITY - A DISINGENUOUS TERM "Viability" as used by some folks is intentionally deceptive. It is a very misleading term, often used to create an excuse for terminating an unwanted baby after conception. It's misleading because it hides several facts. What does viability really mean? Viability has recently come to be the answer for some, including the pro -abortion folks, to the question: When can a baby survive? We often allow using a baby's birth as a marker in its stage of development. It is nothing more than a single point, in its life; a "stage of development" in the baby's life. We allow some to declare 20-24 weeks as viable; meaning they argue that a baby cannot survive prior to this point in its life. It is somehow okay to destroy it before then. Many won't even call it a baby at that point. If one establishes a percentage of viability, certainly, a baby is 1000/0 dependent on the parent, often, even for many years after birth. From conception, till.... After birth, we allow manipulation of the term again. Using viability as the term is often used, the baby is still 100% non -viable, it still cannot survive on its own. However, we manipulate the phrase again, for once the stage of development includes the baby's birth, we call termination of the baby, neglect — or worse. Murder or child neglect comes to mind. Even a four -year -old absolutely requires external support to survive. A child of this age very likely still cannot survive without support from an external source. I submit that it still does not fit the definition some use for viability. This is because they are misusing the term, viability. For full term babies, using the definition used by many pro -abortion folks, a baby may still not be considered viable. Once born though, most of us would call termination of its life, murder. Viability is not the right term, "Stage of Development" should be closer to a factual truth. This however, blows up the abortionist argument, for "Stage of Development" implies that the baby is, at the time of conception, a real, live, baby at some stage of development.
