SUBJECT: Appointment to the Urban Renewal Agency Board
MEETING DATE: May 4, 2026
BACKGROUND: The Urban Renewal Agency Board created by Resolution 5435, assists city
staff in reviewing and making recommendations to the Kalispell City Council regarding urban
renewal plans, projects, and funding.
The board shall be composed of five persons, serving four-year terms, who have applicable
experience in finance, business ownership, commercial development, and real estate marketing.
Members must reside or own real estate within the City of Kalispell.
The Urban Renewal Agency has one vacancy with a term expiring April 30, 2030. Two applicants
have applied for the position.
RECOMMENDATION: Mayor Hunter offer a recommendation to appoint one new member
to the Urban Renewal Agency Board with a term expiring April 30, 2030. Council can then
follow with a motion to accept the recommendation and confirm the appointment or offer an
alternative.

contribute to Kalispell' s growth and redevelopment in a practical way. I believe public
investment and urban renewal projects should be financially responsible, transparent,
and focused on long-term community benefit. My goal would be to bring a balanced
perspective and help support decisions that benefit residents, businesses, and the overall
community.

or commission:
have professional experience in public finance, treasury operations, budgeting, cash
flow forecasting, grant compliance, and financial reporting. In my prior role with Louisville
Metro Government, I worked with public funds, investment and cash management,
budget oversight, internal controls, and financial reporting used for decision -making.

I have professional experience in public finance, treasury operations, budgeting, cash flow
forecasting, grant compliance, and financial reporting. In my prior role with Louisville Metro
Government, I worked with public funds, investment and cash management, budget
oversight, internal controls, and financial reporting used for decision -making. That
experience would be beneficial to the Urban Renewal Agency Board because urban
renewal work often involves public investment, infrastructure planning, project funding,
and long-term financial impact. I would bring practical finance perspective and an
understanding of the importance of transparency, accountability, and responsible use of
public resources. I also have experience working with nonprofits and community -focused
