C. DISCUSSION
1. Zoning and Subdivision Ordinance Updates
City Manager Nygren provided a brief background regarding why these updates are needed.

D. PUBLIC COMMENT
Mayor Hunter opened public comment. Seeing none, Mayor Hunter closed public comment.

E. CITY MANAGER, COUNCIL, AND MAYOR REPORTS
City Manager Nygren spoke about the changes discussed tonight and state law compliance and
announced that this item will be on next week's Council meeting action agenda.
Manager Nygren said thank you to the Public Works crews and other staff that were repairing
several broken water mains until 4 or 5 a.m. recently after a full shift.
01:36:39 Council Member Daoud spoke to the Woodland Park duck issue and related process
and the impact it had on him. He said he is not seeing domestic ducks in the park when he drives
through.
01:37:26 Council Member Leftridge thanked staff for their work in putting together all the
documents, etc., related to the items under discussion tonight.
01:37:37 Council Member Waterman spoke with appreciation to the conversation about
improving the process and public transparency. He then spoke to the duck issue.
01:38:22 Council Member Blank thanked Council and Council Member Leftridge for bringing
up the participation piece and working with staff on that language. She then spoke regarding the
participation of the Parks and Recreation team at the recent Flathead Valley Community College
Job Fair and their need for lifeguards and other summer positions.
01:39:08 Council Member Nunnally spoke with appreciation of the staff response on Friday with
multiple fire alarms, and water main breaks, and what may have been learned from them.
01:39:39 Council Member Nunnally announced an event sponsored by Adam Moore to clean up
the Bypass. On May 3rd, at 2 p.m. Moore is hosting a Keep Kalispell Clean Event. Volunteers
will meet in the Fatt Boys parking lot. Moore's employer has donated supplies for volunteers to
clean the sides of the bypass.
01:40:47 Council Member Walker thanked staff, Council Member Leftridge for his work on
participation, and Council for their discussion.
01:41:05 Mayor Hunter also thanked staff for their work on the subject that was under discussion
tonight.
