Subject: EXTERNAL Assistance Obtaining an AED
Greetings Mayor Hunter and Council,
I am writing to you on behalf of Montana Sky Dermatology in Kalispell, Montana to respectfully
request assistance or information regarding potential funding for the acquisition of an Automated
External Defibrillator(AED)for our clinic.
As a private, primary dermatological care provider in our community,we see approximately 6,000
patients annually.A significant portion of our patient population—nearly two-thirds—is over the
age of 50. Given this demographic, many of our patients are at a statistically greater risk of
experiencing a cardiac event while under our care.
Ensuring the safety of our patients is our highest priority. Having an AED on-site is a critical
component of emergency preparedness, as it can provide life-saving intervention in the vital
minutes before emergency medical services arrive. We are seeking to identify any available grants,
public health programs, or government initiatives that could assist us in securing this essential
piece of medical equipment.
Thank you for your time and for your dedication to the health and safety of our community. I look
forward to hearing from you regarding any resources that may be available to our clinic.
Additionally, I would like to let you know the link on the Kalispell City website to email you and the
council are non-functioning from a computer and only work on your mobile site.
