SUBJECT: Forestry Cab & Chassis with Chip Box
MEETING DATE: April 20, 2026
BACKGROUND: Through the 2025-2026 budgeting process, City Council granted
procurement authority to the City Manager to purchase a new Cab & Chassis with Chip Box for
the Forestry Department.
BID RESULTS: Bids were opened on April 7, 2026, at City Hall. One responsive bid was
received from Custom Truck One Source for $115,939.00.
RECOMMENDATION: Accept the submitted bid as it met the critical specifications outlined
in the IFB.
FISCAL EFFECTS: The Cab & Chassis with Chip Box will be purchased through the Forestry
spending authority- 940. Currently this line item has $140,000 for fiscal year 2026. After the
purchase of the Cab & Chassis with Chip Box $24,061 will remain in the line item.
ACTION REQUESTED: Motion to accept the bid submitted by Custom Truck One Source and
authorize staff to enter into a contract for the purchase of the Cab & Chassis with Chip Box in
the amount of $115,939.00.
