BACKGROUND: The City has identified the need to replace a section of water main along 6th
St W. This segment was identified due to its high likelihood of failure, based on past main
breaks, and the significant consequences associated with a failure in this location. Project scope
includes furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment required to replace the existing 8-inch
cast iron water main and installing approximately 733 linear feet of 12-inch water main, 171
linear feet of 8-inch water main, and 13 linear feet of 6-inch water main. The project also entails
water valve installations, water service connections, paved surface restoration, and a fire hydrant
replacement. This project extends along 6th St W, from the intersections of 6th Ave W to 8th Ave
W.
BIDDING RESULTS: Bids were received and opened on March 19, 2026, at 3:00 PM. Eight
responsive bids were received and are summarized below.
